Current Responsibilities – Echo Global Logistics

Ms. Giller is a Manager of Office Services in Facilities at the Chicago Headquarters of Echo Global Logistics with just under 100,000 square feet, providing facilities & office services management support to the company. Echo is a leading provider of technology-enabled transportation and supply chain management services and has more than 30 offices around the country. Echo recently acquired logistics company Command Transportation out of Skokie, Illinois and will be moving 550+ employees to the Chicago Headquarters adding to Echo’s existing 800 employees, and will be taking on an additional 133,000 square feet in their newly renovated space in the 600 W. Chicago building located in River North.

Experience

Ms. Giller has a diverse and a wide range of professional experience in Facilities and Project Management. Prior to Echo, Ms. Giller worked at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage as the Director of Agent Services while attending graduate school. Prior to Coldwell Banker, Ms. Giller was employed by Andersen (formerly Arthur Andersen) as the Facilities Operations Supervisor & Project Manager overseeing facilities operations of over 850,000 square feet of office space, and successfully completed a major building re-stack to accommodate Andersen’s new business unit floors and completely renovated practice floors at the Chicago Headquarters. Andersen won the "Building of the Year” award for two consecutive years for the firm’s best practices in facilities management and innovative design (1998-1999 & 1999-2000) presented by the Chicago Chapter of IFMA. Ms. Giller began her career in Facilities Management and worked her way up to Facility Manager at Material Service Corporation’s Chicago Headquarters, managing over 50,000 square feet of office space at the company’s main office headquarters and all plant/operating locations. Ms. Giller also managed external facility projects and successfully relocated sister companies Freeman United Coal Mining Company and Marblehead Lime Company to new buildings outside of Chicago, and managed facility project for Darlington Brick Company in Darlington, Pennsylvania.

Education and Affiliations

Ms. Giller earned a Master of Arts Degree in Managerial Communications from Bellevue University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Governor State University. She is a Past President and is currently the Chair of Career Services and Board Member for the Chicago Chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). Ms. Giller is also a Past President of the Financial Services Council of IFMA International.
