Fall 2014 Newsletter
President's Letter
Dear Chicago Chapter of IFMA Members,
Thank you for your support and participation during the past year.
Over the past year the Chicago Chapter experienced several notable accomplishments. Our overall attendance in monthly educational programs increased by 14% and our professional membership meeting attendance was increased by 40%. Two of our Chicago Chapter members, Maureen Ehrenberg and Pat Turnbull became members of the IFMA National Board of Directors. We raised over $9,000 for Almost Home Kids from the Annual Golf outing. We are very proud of these accomplishments.
As we begin the next fiscal year we have already awarded two full educational scholarships for individuals seeking their FMP; we began the planning for educational programs in 2016 (yes, we already have the programs planned for the rest of 2014 and all of 2015!) and we will begin to develop plans to work with our new charity partner archi-treasure, http://architreasures.org/.
We continue to strive to improve our educational and networking opportunities and would appreciate your help and assistance. We want to hear your ideas. If you witnessed a presenter you feel would be appropriate for the Chicago Chapter membership, please let us know about them. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities to get involved in the chapter, just ask.
I am looking forward to a successful 2014/2015 fiscal year. We would like to see you at the next event.
Thank you,
Jerry DiCola
President
