Catch an FM, if you can!

Join us for our distinguished panel of Facility Managers! Learn from the best about their successes, tips and lessons learned, bring your questions …. and Catch an FM while you can!

ABOUT OUR PANELISTS

For the past 11 years, Diane Brummel, CFM, has managed 7 locations for law firm SmithAmundsen LLC as the Director of Office Operations. She has been involved in FM management for too many years to count. Diane is responsible for directing and coordinating all aspects of facilities, office services, records and library including developing and supervising programs for the maximum utilization of services and equipment. Diane has been blessed with many accomplishments, one being that for almost every year with SmithAmundsen there has been a build-out of some sort with the largest one being over 68,000 sq. feet in Chicago in 2016. Diane looks forward to sharing her insight.

Gaylene Domer, Vice President of Facilities Management, is a master of everything office related, overseeing an annual budget of $3.1 million. She is responsible for the successful organization and coordination of all office operational procedures, employee customer service and has been instrumental in maintaining a safe, pleasant and productive workplace. Since joining NEF in 1988, Gaylene has worked to create an effective and efficient environment with innovative and motivational design elements for NEF’s highly professional and diversified workforce with a variety of needs.

Berrenda Love-Lewis, FMP, joined Chubb Insurance as the Facility Coordinator for the Midwest, Field Administration Team in November 2016.  Berrenda’s previous experience was working at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business for 11 years in Facilities and Operations as a Business Administrator. She holds a BA from California State University, Bakersfield, Business Administration – Management. Berrenda has been an IFMA Chicago member since 2010. Her biggest accomplishment is moving from managing the facility of one building to having facility responsibilities for a region.

Jason Strharsky is an enthusiastic facility management professional possessing extensive hands-on building systems experience who has enjoyed many years managing both facilities service suppliers and in-house maintenance professionals. He enjoys being afforded the opportunity to bring his character and KSAs to the value of an innovative organization with a strong sense of purpose. Currently, Jason is supporting WeWork's initiative to provide co-working space designed for fresh ideas, organic networking, and month-to-month flexibility by efficiently and proactively leading the Facilities Team in the Midwest portfolio. With 13 years of facilities experience, his two biggest accomplishments are:  (1) Team building, including the forward professional movement of the teams he has supported in leadership roles; and (2) Mapping and developing preventive maintenance programs in conjunction with computerized maintenance management systems – particularly for companies who are just beginning to implement a CMMS into their facility operations.

NOTE: the September program topic was originally "Learning to Surf in Chaos" presented by Wayne Wetzell.  Due to scheduling conflicts, this program has been changed.
